I. Description:

A summer internship is a great way to develop professional skills. Point Avenue summer interns are responsible for assisting in operations, day-to-day functions, and specific summer courses. Upon acceptance, a summer intern will be placed in either the Elementary or the Middle School Department (preference can be discussed with the Camp Director).

An intern at Summer Leaders Camp will gain experience as a mentor and role model. Additionally, based on performance, there may be additional leadership opportunities assigned by the Camp Director. Lastly, interns will need to write a paper reflecting on their camp experience and personal growth at the end of camp.

II. Schedule: 

• From 8 June 2021 to 23 July 2021: 48 hours per week (full-time).
• Location: Yen Tu Mountain

III. Core Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in Elementary or Middle School classes.
• Organize and monitor outdoor activities and physical activities (i.e., hiking, sports, etc.)
• Support students and teachers during check-in and check-out.
• Help organize and participate in the completion ceremony on the final day of each session.
• Other duties assigned by the Camp Director.
